FC Augsburg transferred 17.5 million euros to FC Dallas for Ricardo Pepi in January.
The FCA announced this on Wednesday evening and thus corresponded to the 19-year-old striker’s wish for more playing time.
“Especially at my age, match practice is particularly important in order to develop as best as possible. Since I also have the goal of taking part in the World Cup for my home country in winter, regular appearances are doubly important for me,” said the American, who plays in the Bundesliga still without a goal or assist in 15 games: “After the loan I would like to come back to Augsburg stronger and assert myself in the Bundesliga at FCA.”
In Groningen Pepi meets the German coach Frank Wormuth. “We will also have a very close exchange and are sure that this is exactly the right step for Ricardo Pepi,” said Augsburg’s sporting director Stefan Reuter.
