Goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz from FC Augsburg was thrown at with a lighter after the final whistle of the Bundesliga game at FC Schalke 04, according to his coach Enrico Maassen.
“He said he was hit by a lighter, he fought it off and then made these gestures, but I’ll definitely look at it again because I didn’t notice it myself,” said Maassen after the 3rd: 2 win for FCA.
Schalke striker Simon Terodde ran up to Gikiewicz after the final whistle when he got his bottle and towel out of the goal because he was angry about the goalkeeper’s gestures towards the Schalke fans.
