Newcomer from Wolfsburg
FC Augsburg reports completion: Elvis Rexhbecaj changes from VfL Wolfsburg to the Fuggerstädter and receives a contract until June 2026. According to the “Bild” transfer fee is around 1.7 million euros. Thanks to bonuses, this amount could continue to rise. Rexhbecaj made 36 appearances for VfL Bochum last season and had two assists, having previously played for 1. FC Köln for a year and a half. The left-footed player made a total of 32 appearances (two goals, two assists) for his Wolfsburg training club.
“After my two loan spells in Cologne and Bochum, which have been very good for my development, I am now very happy to be here in Augsburg for the long term. The talks with those responsible were great and I’m looking forward to working with the team and the new coach (Enrico Maassen; ed.), whose philosophy fits well with my style of play,” said the new FCA signing.
