Mert Kömür is preserved in the long term. The 19 -year -old midfielder, who debuted in the Bundesliga last season, signed a new contract with the Fuggerstadt on Friday until 2029.

He has already been able to show his qualities last season and we are convinced that we will still have a lot of fun in the coming years. So far, Kömür has completed 27 games (3 goals, 1 template) for Augsburg and increased its market value over the course of last season to 5 million euros, which is one of the 15 most valuable German U19 professionals. According to reports, there was far -reaching interest from Europe and the Bundesliga this summer. “I am very happy to continue my journey at FC Augsburg. I was able to fulfill my childhood dream here. On the way, I was able to gain a lot of valuable experience. I am highly motivated to take the next steps and work out my place in the Bundesliga team. Together with the team I would like to achieve a lot,” he said to his new contract.
