Gerard Piqué’s denunciation in defense of his Andorra. “We invested more than 4 million euros to adapt the Estadi Nacional so that LaLiga lets us play and now they throw us out”
Gerard Piqué and his FC Andorra are at the center of attention in Spain these days. In fact, the former Barcelona player is the president of the Spanish club that aspires to bigger Spanish stages. However, after learning that FC Andorra will not be able to play their matches at the Estadi Nacional starting from next season, the former Barça defender – through a post on his official channels – explained all his regret for this situation .
“We invested more than 4 million euros to adapt the Estadi Nacional so that LaLiga lets us play and now you throw us out. In Andorra there is no sports facility with the conditions to be able to compete next year. Thank you for expelling us ” – explained the president of Andorra, Gerard Piqué. Then, the former Barcelona player continues: “We have no choice but to leave and change the name of the club. Congratulations, you have left Andorra without professional football”, concluded Piqué. In the former defender’s post, also attached is a piece of news in which Alain Cabanes – Secretary of State for Sport and Youth of Andorra, announced that the Andorran club will not play its matches at the Estadi Nacional starting next year season.
