SC Dnipro-1 was founded in 2017, as a successor to FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. Officially it is a completely new club, but the complete structure of the club has been preserved after the bankruptcy of five years ago. The Ukrainian Dnipro plays its European home games for the time being in the Košická futbalová arena in Košice, Slovakia. This is because of the war in Ukraine. The national competition did start this week, with matches in three cities that have been labeled ‘safe’ for the time being.
The first game in the group stage of the Conference League will be played on Thursday, September 8. The other matches will take place on September 15, October 6, October 13, October 27 and November 3 before the World Cup starts in Qatar. The final of the Conference League this season is on June 7, 2023 in the Fortuna Arena in Prague, the home of Slavia Prague.
