A 14-year-old boy lay dead on his bed in a villa in Turnhout for at least a month. All the while, his father, two brothers and three other couples with four children – all with Surinamese roots – continued to live in the house. Investigators suspect that the boy became ill and his family tried to heal him with ghosts and gods instead of a doctor and medicine.
