Father from Gasselte took a knife to kill his son
“I am very sorry”, the 47-year-old suspect from Gasselte cries via a video link to the mother of his son in the courtroom in Assen. “I wasn’t going to stab him. It happened because the police were suddenly right in front of me.” In February, the father went to the forest in Drouwen with a knife to kill his son (1.5 years). The child had an arterial hemorrhage, but was saved by quick intervention.

No compensation for cracks in the floor
A resident of Feerwerd has been proven wrong by the Council of State. According to the highest administrative court in the Netherlands, the man is not entitled to compensation for cracks in the floors of his home. According to the Groningen Mining Damage Institute, the damage cannot have been caused by earthquakes.
