The police found two victims on Friday evening in a house on Lambrecht van Middelhovenweg in Maastricht: a seriously injured man and the remains of a man. The injured person was taken to hospital by ambulance, but died there that same night.
The father is believed to have killed his son and then himself, police said. “Research findings to date point in that direction.” Both victims were also killed by gunfire.
The detective hopes to complete the investigation in the course of next week.
