A fatal accident with a car happened early on Sunday on the A16 highway at the Klaverpolder junction. The junction is located at Moerdijk, where the A16 and the A17 meet. No other road users were involved in the accident, police said.
The accident was reported around a quarter to six and happened in the direction of Breda. Traffic specialists will investigate the facts.
The ANWB reports that the connecting road has been closed due to the accident and that traffic is advised to turn around at Zevenbergschen Hoek.
