Fashionette launches platform concept

Düsseldorf-based Fashionette AG has launched its new platform.

The online retailer for luxury fashion has now launched the first phase of the platform strategy announced in April, Fashionette announced on Thursday. In the first step, “some” of the partners’ luxury women’s fashion was integrated, explained Fashionette board member Laura Vogelsang. In the second phase at the end of October, luxury fashion for men and “all categories” of women’s fashion will also be available. In January 2024, other products such as leather goods, shoes and accessories will also go live. The last step for now is to actively connect manufacturers in the first quarter of 2024.

“In the background, we have connected over 150 locations for luxury fashion, integrated them into our software and mapped all products,” says Dominik Benner, CEO of Fashionette AG. “We are very proud to have implemented this project in just four months. In the future we will grow significantly via the platform area and do so profitably.”

Fashionette is currently in the process of improving its sales through various processes. This includes cost-cutting measures and the abandonment of the beauty and smartwatch categories as well as the new platform strategy, the aim of which is to reduce capital commitment and increase profitability. In addition, the company, which continues to have its own inventory, is in the process of merging with online retailer The Platform Group.
