Fashion show by fashion studio Roelie Wink in Dwingeloo was a great success

Last Saturday afternoon there was not a chair unoccupied in the Over Entinghe village hall. That afternoon Roelie Wink celebrated 25 years as a professional sewing teacher. More than 125 interested people enjoyed the fashion show by the students with their homemade clothing.

Like an accomplished lady speaker, Roelie talked about the creations that were shown on the catwalk by the ‘mannequins’, including young students. Such as the fabric and the generally self-drawn patterns. “The ladies found the idea of showing their clothes scary at first, because they had never done it this way before, yet they walked the catwalk like professionals,” says Roelie. Finally, a student came in a self-made wedding dress.

Five hundred students

Everything can be made in her fifty square meter spacious studio in Lhee 47. She has now taught five hundred students in recent years and fifty have obtained the Ensaid diploma. “I have 65 students from the age of 4 to 70 plus,” says Roelie. “It is always very pleasant.”

Not only could the fashion show be followed in the village hall, there was also a stall with fabrics, jewelery and T-shirts on which the text of your choice could be embroidered.

As a surprise, a party committee had arranged a book upon arrival, on which everyone could write compliments and such. Roelie also received a gold chain and a rose. “Great of course, I never expected,” was Roelie’s comment.
