Patrick Demarchelier, the world-famous fashion photographer and personal photographer for Princess Diana, is dead.

French Patrick Demarchelier was known for decades as a favorite photographer of the stars and a standard photographer of luxury fashion houses and fashion magazines. Demarchelier also photographed the engagement photo of Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill at the Swedish court in 2012, as well as several portraits of Princess Diana, as she served as the princess’s personal photographer.

The late photographer became familiar with his spectacular editorial fashion photos, featuring 90s supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Christy Turlington. Emily Ratajkowski, Miranda Kerr, Cara Delevingne and Bella Hadid, among others, got to work with the iconic photographer of today’s supermodels.
Demarchelier featured numerous covers and fashion editors for international fashion magazines such as Vogue, Ellen and Harper’s Bazaar. The stars Beyoncé, Madonna and Oprah Winfrey have been photographed by Demarchelier.

She has filmed advertising campaigns for numerous luxury fashion houses including Yves Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Dior. The photographer’s advertising customers have also included H&M, Zara, L’Oréal and Revlon.
