Fashion house Paco Rabanne cancels ‘Paco’

Paco Rabanne celebrates his 60th anniversary this week and is about to change his name.

The clothing and fragrance provider is dropping the ‘Paco’ from its name, Rabanne announced on Wednesday. This name change is accompanied by a new visual identity and logo intended to pay tribute to the founder and respect the legacy. The typography of the new logo was derived from Rabanne’s 1969 fragrance ‘Calandre’.

In addition to the new brand identity, the brand, which belongs to the Spanish fashion and cosmetics group Puig SL, is also expanding its range and launching a range of make-up products.

The Spanish fashion designer Paco Rabanne is no longer aware of these changes in his brand, which was completely owned by Puig in 1987. He died earlier this year at the age of 88.
