Fashion Council Germany on the way to Mannheim

The Fashion Council Germany eV opens its first branch office in Mannheim in June.

“LocalOne” is the name of the branch association’s first branch outside of Berlin. The aim of the pilot project is “more intensive regional networking, stronger member support and industry promotion,” according to the statement by the Fashion Council Germany (FCG) on Wednesday.

The federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Hesse are to be better networked and activated through the Mannheim location. In cooperation with local partners such as the start-up center for textiles, new funding and contact opportunities are to be created for members.

“The Fashion Council Germany was never exclusively focused on Berlin. We started in Berlin and that’s where our office is, but we’re pursuing a nationwide approach,” explains FCG Managing Director Scott Lipinski. “The limited number of regional activities has encouraged us to expand a national network in order to be able to offer as many members as possible a direct point of contact and also to be more present outside of Berlin”.

The branch in Mannheim is a pilot project which, if successful, will be extended to other locations. The central contact point of the FCG is still the head office in Berlin, but further offices are being planned.
