Fashion Cloud takes over Stitch’s digital showroom

The Hamburg and Amsterdam-based IT service provider Fashion Cloud GmbH is expanding its service offering.

On Tuesday, the company announced the acquisition of the digital showroom solution from the start-up Stitch, which was founded under the umbrella of the clothing group PVH. The transaction also includes “the acquisition of the Stitch team, which includes many of the original Digital Showroom contributors at Tommy Hilfiger,” Fashion Cloud explained.

René Schnellen, one of the founders of Fashion Cloud, explained the reasons for the acquisition: “After intensive research, we are very pleased to be adding the Stitch Showroom to our product portfolio,” he explained in a statement. “The digital showroom is by far the most attractive software we could find. We are convinced that the showroom has great potential for our existing customer base of more than 700 international brands.”

The company, which says its platform offers “Europe’s leading B2B solution for fashion wholesale,” is now planning to integrate the Stitch Showroom “as part of a larger offering for brands by integrating retailers’ sales data and existing sales data Fashion cloud solutions such as preorder, reorder, smart replenishment and content are included.”
