Farmers now gone along A1 near Bathmen and in Hardenberg | Home

No roads were blocked. The group of farmers that stood on the roundabout in Witte Paal is now on its way to Hardenberg. Protest signs such as ‘No farmers, no food’ and ‘Nature is beautiful, but the farmer is the prey’ can be seen on the tractors. It is a precursor to the announced protests tomorrow in The Hague.

It is the Farmers Defense Force (FDF) calling to come to the royal city tomorrow. That day, the House of Representatives will debate the agricultural agreement. The agricultural organization LTO Netherlands gave up consultations on this agreement, so that the consultations collapsed last week. FDF leader Mark van den Oever indicates that the protest is primarily aimed at the CDA. The hope is that they pull the plug from the cabinet.

The demonstration has not been registered with the municipality of The Hague. The city is taking into account hundreds of demonstrators and their vehicles. FDF has announced that the protest will start at 12 noon, but is keeping the location a secret. It has been a year since farmers blocked highways across the country. This led to dangerous situations and highways that were closed for hours.
