“This is my first time in Heuvelland,” says a cycling tourist. “I’m disappointed. You have to be very careful and you can’t cycle side by side. Quite dangerous actually.” A young family from the Veluwe is sitting on a bench at the top of the Gulperberg. “Our children are not used to this environment yet,” says the father. “We teach them that you can’t cycle here like at home.”
