Almost 3 million people were glued to the TV on Sunday evening to watch the popular NPO program Boer Zoekt Vrouw. It showed, among other things, how farmer’s wife Janine confronts Sander.
Last week it was already shown how Janine sent Michiel home. It’s up to the remaining Sander and Christiaan (Chris) to win her heart.
‘I find it hard’
Still, that doesn’t seem to work out so well for Sander. At the end of the episode you can see how Janine confronts Sander. He withdraws a little too often, making it difficult for the farmer’s wife to get to know him. “I find it difficult, because I don’t want to be the one who has to pull on him to get something out of him. Because I have to do that too. I want him to say how he feels.”
Sander indicates that he feels at home with Janine and that he would like to continue. “I’m so impressed with everything, about you, about the company, and sometimes I have to take a break.” However, Janine started to have doubts because of his passive attitude, she explains: “I felt you withdraw and then you start filling in things automatically. I noticed a change in you and I found that very difficult.”

Relief
The conversation turned out to be desperately needed, as both reacted with relief. “I think it’s very nice that she came to me and that I could tell what it was like. It was a hectic day with all kinds of things that haunt you and I could say that for a while,” says Sander. The two end the personal conversation with a hug.
We will (probably) see how it ends between the two next Sunday. Farmer seeks wife can be seen at 8:25 p.m. on NPO1. With almost 2.9 million viewers, Boer Zoekt Vrouw was by far the best viewed program on Sunday evening.
