Farmer demonstrations have also been observed on the A67 at Hapert, the A2 at Best, the N264 at Haps and the N272 at Boxmeer. Actions have also been reported at Liempde and Heeswijk-Dinther. There were also actions in other parts of the country, such as Oostrum (Limburg), Maasbree (Limburg) and Lunteren (Gelderland).
Some demonstrations have now ended, but in some places the farmers are still standing.
The police’s efforts are aimed at keeping the situations safe, they are in talks with farmers and “enforce where possible.” Farmers are reminded that certain things are not allowed, such as blocking roads or entering the emergency lane.
Last Wednesday, farmers held a national day of action in Stroe, Gelderland, as a protest against the cabinet’s nitrogen plans.
