Farm tractor collides with car in Veurne

Both vehicles were driving on Bulskampstraat when the passenger car collided with a heavy tractor just past a slight bend near Calonnegracht. The collision threw the passenger car a long way and the tractor came to a stop in the shoulder of the road.

Slightly injured

Fire and emergency services came to the scene because there was a trapped driver, but the driver could be freed from the car through the passenger door. He was treated on site and slightly injured and transferred to the hospital in Veurne. The driver of the tractor was not injured.

Road closed

Exactly how the collision happened remains to be investigated. Both vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed. Due to the accident, the Bulskampstraat was closed for a while.
