Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the French presidential candidate for the far-left, has scored very well in the first round in French overseas territories, such as Guadeloupe, Martinique or French Guiana. In those places, he even got more than half, 56.16 percent, 53.10 percent and 50.59 percent respectively of the votes cast, French media reported on Sunday night.
