The new game designed and produced in collaboration between RCS Sport and the FantaSanremo Team is about to launch

From the next edition of the Giro d’Italia, which will start from Venaria Reale on 4 May, all this will be possible thanks to the FantaGiro d’Italia 2024, the official fantasy game of the Giro d’Italia, designed and produced in collaboration between RCS Sport and the FantaSanremo team.

The basic idea of the game takes inspiration from the fantasy game linked to the Italian Song Festival which in recent years has become a real cultural phenomenon, involving over 2.8 million users in the latest edition. Following the basic rule “One team, 8 riders, one captain”, the fantasy coaches will therefore have to create their own team by choosing from eight riders who will be at the start of the 2024 Giro d’Italia and nominate one of them as captain, a role of great importance in as the points he will earn based on the order of arrival of each stage will be doubled. All this, taking care not to exceed the threshold of 100 Wolfies (the mascot of the Giro d’Italia and “currency” of the FantaGiro d’Italia), the maximum credit made available to purchase the riders and create your own team.

The positions of the runners in the FantaGiro d’Italia ranking will be determined on the one hand by the sporting performances they obtain (the general classification, the stage classification, the placings in the Mountain Grand Prix, points and youth classifications, etc.) , on the other the “bonuses” and “maluses” present in the rules of the game, all in the name of curiosity and fun, which the athletes will collect during the three weeks of the Giro not only during the 21 scheduled stages but also in the moments of the signature podium or the awards ceremony podium. There will also be daily bonuses, linked to the specificities of the territories that, day after day, will be touched by the Corsa Rosa. The website www.fantagiroditalia.it is available online starting today together with the Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, Threads profiles and the Telegram channel. In the next few days, the rules of the Game will be available for consultation on the website and on social media accounts, followed by the runners’ fantasy quotes. From next April 4th it will be possible to sign up for the game, create your own team and participate in existing leagues or create a new one with friends, colleagues and family, thus sharing the passion for cycling and more. Furthermore, when registration opens it will be possible to participate in the FantaGiro d’Italia competition and have the chance to win fantastic prizes.
