Lewis Capaldi suffered a Tourette attack during his concert in Frankfurt. During his famous ballad Someone You Loved, he developed a tic that made him cough and his shoulders twitch. The audience took over the singing and gave him a short break. A fan captured the supportive gesture in a short video that has since been circulating on social media.

It has been known since September 2022 that the Scot suffers from the incurable disease of the nervous system. In an interview with the tabloid The Sun at the time, he said: “I was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome. I wanted to talk about it because I didn’t want people to think I was doing cocaine or anything like that.” The main manifestations for him of the syndrome are shoulder shrugs and coughing. While it’s “not as bad as it looks,” it’s “quite uncomfortable at times,” he explained in the interview.

As part of his tour, he will appear in Cologne on February 28th, in Zurich on March 7th, in Stuttgart on March 14th and in Munich on March 15th. For all concerts there are still tickets.
