An Instagram post raises the question of whether Till Lindemann could have sustained an arm injury before or during the Rammstein concert in Paris. Users posted some pictures on Reddit and Instagram in which the 60-year-old is clearly visible – including his arm, which looks like it has a deep cut.
The fans are suspicious, wondering if the blood on the arm could be fake blood from the “Mein Teil” show. But that is disputed, since Lindemann wears gloves on that song: “You can crearly see the hurt after he takes off his black jacket (so from the song Rammstein until the end). A lot of people on IG are saying that the blood is fake and it is from my part but when till performs my part that ‘part’ of the arm is completely covered by the gloves and his outfit.”
Others point out that fake blood might not drip as convincingly. Maybe Lindemann is just at an age where accidental cuts leave bigger marks and heal less well: “That blood is not fake. It’s legit dripping from his arm. I doubt it was too serious. It looks like they slapped on a bandage or something afterwards when they were saying goodbye. Also keep in mind that as you age, your skin gets thinner. What may not have cut you at all at 20 or may have just left a bruise may very well slice you open like this. I have a family friend who is in his early 60s (a bit older than Till) and he cuts himself all the time and it actually rips his skin. That same thing could just leave a bruise or a small cut on me (I’m in my mid-20s).”
The situation cannot be interpreted from the pictures posted by Rammstein himself from the French capital; Lindemann remains in the shadows. The frontman is not known for self-harm; whether he really hurt his arm or whether the blood is a show effect cannot be judged. The next stop for Berliners is Vienna.
The Berlin public prosecutor’s office is investigating Till Lindemann on allegations of abusive behavior towards women. Accusations were also raised against keyboardist Flake. Both deny these allegations. Meanwhile, drummer Christoph Schneider is trying to calm things down with his son’s cute children’s video.
