Fans Feyenoord and AS Roma clash in the stadium in Tirana shortly before the final NOW

Fans of Feyenoord and AS Roma clashed on Wednesday just before the Conference League final in a stand of the Arena Kombëtare in Tirana. Feyenoord supporters saw that there were also some fans of the Italian club in their profession and went on the attack.

There were some serious blows and after a few minutes stewards intervened. AS Roma fans were removed from the stands. After that, calm returned to the stadium of Tirana, where, remarkably enough, not all seats are occupied.

Many tickets for the final were in the possession of black traders. They apparently failed to sell all tickets while thousands of Feyenoord and AS Roma fans are forced to watch the match in the center of Tirana because they do not have a ticket.

Feyenoord can also expect a fine from UEFA after the final. Supporters of the club from Rotterdam set off fireworks in the stands just before the final battle. They also threw flaming torches onto the field.

Feyenoord had to pay almost 500,000 euros to UEFA this season due to misconduct by its own supporters. The authorities of Albania announced in the run-up to the final that they would take strict action against supporters with fireworks. Fans with flaming torches face up to three years in prison in Albania.
