The US sporting goods retailer Fanatics Inc. has filled a key position. On Tuesday, the company announced the appointment of Andrew Low Ah Kee as CEO of its Fanatics Commerce division. He succeeds Doug Mack, who will be retiring. Mack will support the new hire until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition, according to a statement
Low Ah Kee will now head the group’s most important segment and will report directly to CEO Michael Rubin. The Fanatics Commerce division includes the development and production of licensed fan articles and clothing as well as the global omnichannel sales network that Fanatics has built up over the past few years.
The group is a licensing partner of all major US professional leagues as well as the Formula 1 racing series and leading international sports associations such as UEFA and the International Olympic Committee. The company also maintains partnerships with well-known teams from various sports such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea FC as well as the Dallas Cowboys and Golden State Warriors.
Before joining Fanatics, Low Ah Kee served as President of the online real estate agent Opendoor Technologies Inc. Before that, he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the IT service provider GoDaddy.
