The event was held as part of “Uk Fan Token Cup”, a proposal dedicated to supporters with digital tokens
It’s any football lover’s dream. Tread the lawn of your favorite team. And, if possible, do it as a protagonist, under the eyes of some of the champions who are accustomed to admire live or on TV. All this has become reality for a group of 30 Everton supporters, who, in the context of “Uk Fan Token Cup“- the tournament reserved for fans in possession of digital tokens – took the stage at Goodison Park. In the Toffees stadium they played 5-a-side football matches and individual challenges, with the aim of securing a place in the August final. in which the winners of the tournaments organized by each of the 6 Premier League companies participating in this proposal of the Fan Token platform will take part, namely Everton, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Leeds and Manchester City.
To make Everton fans’ day even more special was the presence, at the event on 23 May, of some historical faces of the club now coached by Frank Lampard. There were Stuart Barlow, the English striker of the nineties, and Steven Pienaar, a South African midfielder with over 200 appearances for the Toffees between 2011 and 2016. The two former Everton players cheered on the fans in the locker room, they followed the performances on the pitch and then, in the end, they rewarded the winners.
