A few hours before the European game Anderlecht – AZ, some supporters are already busy with the match. Anderlecht supporter Louis is quite outspoken about the Alkmaarders, who according to him are only ‘mid-engines’ in the premier league.
“If Slimani plays, we have a better chance of winning”, says an Anderlecht supporter Louis about the handy striker of Purple-white. Another young fan of the Belgian top club is allowed to go to the game because of his fifteenth birthday. “We won against Villarreal, so that should also be possible against AZ.”
In the neighborhood around the Astridpark, where Anderlecht plays its matches, the confidence of the supporters is high. Louis sees Anderlecht as favourite. “I’m an optimist to the core,” says the loyal fan, who has been visiting all games for more than 45 years.
