Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. The news ticker on t-online contains all the important reports about the “Rothosen”.

Before the home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, the HSV reduce his squad. According to “Bild”, Anssi Suhonen is moving to the Danish first division club Odense BK and is due to complete the medical check on Friday. If he passes this, HSV will receive a transfer fee in the five-figure range. Suhonen’s contract in Hamburg expires in summer 2026.

The Finn came to HSV’s U17s from Käpylän Pallo in 2017 and made his professional debut in 2021 under coach Tim Walter. Despite great sympathy from the fans, the big breakthrough never came, partly because of repeated injuries. In 52 competitive games, Anssi Suhonen scored two goals and provided five assists. After loans to Jahn Regensburg (13 appearances) and Östers IF (13 appearances, one goal, one assist), Suhonen is now apparently moving to Denmark, where he will meet former HSV talent Fiete Arp.

The long-endangered Bundesliga game Hamburger SV against Borussia Mönchengladbach takes place. Two days before kick-off on Saturday (3:30 p.m./Sky), HSV gave the all-clear and announced that the closure for the Volksparkstadion would be lifted on Friday afternoon.

Hamburg’s game against Bayer Leverkusen was canceled at short notice on Tuesday due to static problems on the roof of the arena. The reason for this was due to the accumulated condensation on the roof membrane of the Volksparkstadion as a result of the heavy snowfall.

This caused bumps to form. The catwalk (supply route) hanging below became seriously crooked. The staging of the game against Gladbach at the start of the second half of the Bundesliga was also called into question. According to HSV, the situation has now improved before Saturday’s game.

After the departure of Daniel Peretz, HSV is looking for a new replacement for goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes. A candidate is apparently under contract with a competitor in the relegation battle: Kevin Müller (34) from 1. FC Heidenheim should be the “first choice” if HSV decides on an experienced number two. Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg reported this on Thursday.
