Convict Gonzalo Lopez managed to get his handcuffs off on his way to a doctor’s appointment and assaulted the van driver. He then ran into the woods. The police searched with all their might for the killer, but in vain.

Lopez turned out to be hiding in the house next to the ranch where Grandpa Collins and his grandchildren were staying. Within a few hours of arrival, the five were murdered by him. Lopez then left with the Collins family’s clothes, weapons, and car.
Not much later, officers saw this car driving in a village about 350 kilometers from the ranch. They recognized Lopez and flattened his tires. After the criminal started shooting at the police, he was shot dead by them.
Officials have identified the bodies of the victims. In addition to grandfather Mark Collins, Waylon (18), Karson (16), Hudson (11), and Bryson (11) were killed. Waylon, Karson and Hudson were brothers. Bryson was their nephew.
