Two of the victims who died in the attack on the wheat camp in The Hague had a restaurant in Breda. The 45-year-old Renai and his 41-year-old woman Li were the owners of the Surinamese-Chinese eatery Faffie on the Haagdijk. The couple were killed with their 17-year-old daughter Sophie at the attack on the flat. Their 8 -year -old son is the only survivor of the family. He almost got out of the building.

Eethuis Faffie has been around for eleven years. Renai and Li took over the case in 2023.

In December last year, six people were killed in the destroying explosion, which was aimed at a bridal shop. Four people were injured. After the attack, the police arrested four suspects: De Neven Ilyas (23) and Mourad (29) from Roosendaal, Adil A. from Oosterhout and Moshtag B. from Rotterdam.

What will happen to Eethuis Faffie is not yet known. The restaurant has been closed for some time. According to on behalf of the family, the organization that speaks for the relatives, the building is now owned by the family and must make a decision about it.

Collection campaign
Recently the money that was collected for relatives and victims handed. A total of 700,000 euros was raised, which amounts to more than 15,000 euros per person. A large part of the money comes from the Chinese-Dutch community, more than 45,000 euros.
