Miren Eynatten (54) and her son Michiel (22), the victims of the double murder in Haaltert, had filed a complaint against the perpetrator a few hours before the dramatic facts. It concerns the woman’s husband (51), with whom she was together for 18 years, but who is not the father of her son. This is confirmed by the East Flanders public prosecutor’s office, which “had no indication that he would commit the terrible crimes”. The boy’s biological father has now responded to HLN: “This hurts so much.”
