False alarm: fire brigade on school roof in Roden for nothing

No smoke, but fumes from the heating rose early this morning above primary school De Hoeksteen in Roden. Nevertheless, the fire alarm went off and the emergency services rushed out.

The fire brigade was called around 6:00 am. It looked like smoke was coming from the roof. Firefighters climbed the roof with ladders to carry out an inspection. Once upstairs, it turned out to be fumes from the heating system.

So there was no fire, so the school can open today. It is still being investigated how the fire alarm went off.
