Un journey to distant lands, comforted by the enveloping warmth of the most precious cashmere. Unexpected details, colors quiet luxury which leave room for lively and joyful splashes of color at the end. The Falconeri collection “The Voyage of Our Cashmere” designed by Giulia Sartini and Pierangelo Fenziwhich showed yesterday in Milan, is “one of the most beautiful ever made”, in the designer’s words.
The Falconeri woman and man told a story made of fine fibers and remote countries. During the evening-event at the Macchi Fonderiathe models brought all the preciousness of Mongolian yarn to the catwalk, anticipated and interspersed with contemporary dancersin an evening curated in every detail by LaceCreative Director of the event.
Falconeri’s long journey
The underlying theme, real and metaphorical, was clearly cashmere, a fascinating and precious fibre. The parade space followed the various phases of the cashmere journey: from the search for raw materials to the processes, to the spools of yarn, each installation enveloped guests in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Even the soft light of lanterns was caressed by the cashmere bow, which illuminated jute bales and ethnic tables. To complete the experience, the brand’s new fragrances introduced the colors of the palette onto the catwalk. In the end, in the center of the room, an imposing yarn structure it was the backdrop to the passage of the Falconeri-designed garments and the dance troupe.
Mongolian cashmere
Falconeri wanted to celebrate the great dedication he has always put into search for the finest materials, the best cashmere fibers that travel from distant Mongolia and Inner Mongoliato transform itself into a democratic experience of luxury.
The Superior Cashmere by Falconeri starts from Asiathrough a careful selection of Duvet spinning, the thinnest and finest down of Hircus goats. From here the cashmere staple takes flight and arrives in Italy in Biella to be spun and conclude his trip in Avio, home of the Falconeri factory, where the spool takes the shape of the garment. Attention to the raw material, as well as to the processing, which gives substance to the Falconeri world.
Guests at the Falconeri fashion show
Many well-known faces from the entertainment, television and web scene were present at the evening, friends of the brand who wanted to be present on such an important evening.
