The big D hits the makers of fake social profiles.
ATTE KAJOVA
Iskelmä star Danny, 80, posted a poignant message on his social media channels. Legend has it that the so-called fake Dannys torment his fans with messages on social media.
– Unfortunately, recently several different Facebook and Instagram profiles have been created in my name, where people pretend to be me and send all kinds of messages. I’m telling you this harassment has to stop now, Danny snaps.
– If there are more such accounts, I hope that these accounts will be reported immediately, he continues.
Next, Iso D thanks its followers for their help and cooperation in eradicating fake profiles.
The phenomenon is familiar to many well-known artists and public figures. The stars Lauri from Tähka to Janna and To Samu Haber have previously told about scam accounts through which fans have been approached. Iltalehti has previously written about how rudely there have been attempts to cheat in the name of Finnish celebrities.
Iltalehti reached Danny by phone, who briefly commented that he hoped people would not fall for scammers. Sometimes fake profiles are also used to try to fish for financial benefits – according to Danny, the messages that have come to his attention have not been about such things.
Danny’s fans assure in the comment field of the publication that they will report the senders of the harassing message.
– Notification of those requests. The only right way, one fan writes.
– A fake wrote to me and hoped that I would continue to “listen to Danny’s music”, said one fan.
– It happened to me too. I deleted because I immediately recognized the fake, said another commenter.
– Likewise, I received a message. Had tried to get a Facebook friend. And how much he loves me. I understood right away that it was a scammer, said the third fan.
To perform on a cruise
Iskelmä star Danny will next head to Tallinn at the end of May for the Back to The Sixties cruise.
He performed in Fuengirola, Spain in March. Before the Aurinkorannikon gig, Danny spent a long vacation in Thailand with a group of friends.
At the end of last year, Iltalehti interviewed a music consultant who had recently moved to a new apartment building in Espoo.
– This home is easy to dismantle. On the other hand, Kirkkonummi’s home was so big that there was an awful lot of stuff there, and Rauma’s even more. Now I have taken care of them, he said at the time.
The legend said that he still dreams of making new songs.
– I will make a few more exceptionally good songs, a tribute to some composers and authors of the text, he planned.
