Fajah Lourens from 4,500 to 43 euros in energy costs per month

Fajah Lourens paid 45,000 euros in energy costs last winter, but she recently went from 4,500 euros a month to 43 euros a month. “That’s very strange.”

According to Fajah Lourens, the biggest scammers out there are: energy companies, and especially Greenchoice. “I was with Greenchoice and at one point I had 4,500 euros a month, while I was still sitting on the couch with a hot water bottle. It just didn’t make any damn sense, you know? And in the meantime, they have all made more profits,” she cheers BNR.

Stress for Fajah

Fajah states that energy companies make money at her back. “In the meantime, all those energy companies have simply made double profits and fed on the misery of our people. Yes, just stop it. I was sitting on the couch with a hot water bottle and I still had such a bill!”

Last winter was extremely stressful for Fajah. “I was stressed last year because of that energy bill. I had 45,000 euros in the winter. Yeah, that’s ridiculous.”

Cannabis plantation

Wilfred Genee, the presenter on duty, cannot believe his ears. “Do you have a cannabis plantation or something?”

Fajah denies that. “No, but a lot of square meters. It is ridiculous. I am now on dynamic at Frank Energie – it is not an advertisement, is it, I do not work together – but then you actually pay for what you use.”

Wilfred: “Yes, I was there for a while, but it’s hard to follow. At a certain point I didn’t understand it at all anymore.”

43 euros

How much does Fajah pay now? “I had 43 euros last month. I have 720 square meters.”

Wilfred: “That is very strange.”

Fajah: “Yes, I will show it in my app if you don’t believe me.”

Wilfred: “Hahahaha. You go from 4,500 to 43 euros. That’s really great! You can’t go from 4,500 a month to 43 euros, can you? Your neighbor probably has…”

450 euros

Well, it’s not quite 43 euros, according to Fajah. “I also got a bit back, I now pay about 450 euros per month. Those Greenchoice were really scammers.”

Wilfred: “Well, it’s nice that I’m just joining you.”

Fajah: “At one point we had my daughter’s baby shower. Then the gas and electricity went out and we still had a high peak, even though we had been without power for four hours. Then I thought: you really sew the whole thing.”

“I’m not making it up!”

Wilfred takes a look at Fajah’s energy app. “It’s really there. 43.26 euros.”

Fajah: “You see it, don’t you! And I have a 700 square foot house. You see it, right? I really don’t make up stories!”
