Fair worker ends up in hospital after blow from booster

An employee was injured today by a blow from the booster at the fair in Volendam. The victim is a 31-year-old man from Hoorn.

The accident happened when the employee tried to jump from one side of the attraction to the other, police said. During that jump, the 31-year-old man from Hoorn was hit by the booster. He was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

The accident happened at the Hell Raiders attraction, a 40-meter high booster. The booster is temporarily out of use, but the rest of the fair in Volendam continues as usual.

Victim assistance is available for the parents and children who saw the accident.
