Fair in Hapert is separated from the catering industry, residents are not happy

The municipality of Bladel will from now on organize fairs outside the center of the villages, further away from the catering industry. This will happen for the first time in the coming edition in Hapert. Rode? Safety, Bladel is counting on fewer incidents. Residents don’t like it: “What turd invents such a thing?”

The fairs in Bladel and Casteren have already been moved to a place outside the center in the past two years. According to the municipality, this resulted in ‘positive experiences’. In the coming two editions, the fair in Hapert will therefore also be separated from the catering industry, as a test.

“I’m curious who has researched this.”

Hapert residents are not at all happy with this. Complaints are pouring in on social media. In fact, there is not a single positive reaction to read. “Easily thought up behind a desk”, says Anita.

For example, people cannot imagine that it is more fun when the fair is no longer in the center. “What positive experiences? Only hear negative words about it! What turd invents something like this? The fair should be in the village square, where the pub’s cosiness is also,” writes Richard.

“Dear Municipality of Bladel, I am curious about the positive experiences and by which persons and organizations these have been issued. A fair is a ‘village festival’ and the most logical location is in the center”, Nicolay writes in turn. And Toine: “I’m curious who has researched this.”

“End of fair for us.”

Monique finds it particularly bad towards the catering establishments. “This is such a shame. It is another slap in the face for the Bladel catering industry, which has had a hard time in recent years.”

Miranda even states that she no longer swings and swings with her family at the fair. “We always sat on the terrace every evening, cozy with the fairground atmosphere. The children could then walk around the fair, while we were in the area. End of fair for us!!”

Hellen agrees: “Super impractical for people with children of primary school age.” Angelique doesn’t like it either: “The Municipality of Bladel destroys the atmosphere.” And finally, with Ilse, enthusiasm is also hard to find: “In the pubs on the market, it is the atmosphere. Not this.”

But despite all the negative reactions, the fair in Hapert will be held on 18 to 21 June on the lawn near the mill in the village, about five hundred meters from the original location. “Separating the catering industry and the fair ensured that the fair became more fun in the other villages and that there were no more incidents”, is the reasoning of the municipality.

In Netersel and Hoogeloon, the fairs are also not close to the catering industry, which was also the case before.
