Lto fight against climate change is a priority for the governments of the world. This, however, does not exclude that everyone must be informed and everyone can also act autonomously to defend the environment in which they live and for which they are responsible.

Climate change, the four risks that Europe will have to face

#FAIperilclima, the FAI campaign is back

It is from these considerations that, on the occasion of the COP27 which is taking place in Egypt, the FAI, Italian Environment Fundraises the #FAIperilclima campaign

Born on the occasion of COP26, the United Nations conference of parties on climate change, this year the campaign is back with a new program of initiatives. The goal is to spread more knowledge on the topic of climate change starting from the Foundation’s experience in its Assets.

Special visits with the experts

The heart of the campaign will be the special visits organized in the FAI properties. The next ones scheduled for Sunday 20 November. With exceptional guides such as geologists, botanists, agronomists, pedologists, geographers and other experts you will be able to observe and touch the effects of climate change on places of history and nature edited and managed by the Foundation.

Experts will illustrate adaptation and mitigation strategies and projectsalready started or about to start, starting from simple good practices that the FAI adopts in its assets and that we can all and must adopt.

The extraordinary variety of FAI assetsfrom the Alps to Sardinia, from pastures to wetlands, will allow us to deepen the various effects of climate change which threatens natural ecosystems, biodiversity and traditional crops. But also urban landscapes and historical monuments: the health of the environment and ours.

Again as part of the #faiperilclima campaign, the FAI will closely follow the work of COP27 and will report its development with news on its web channels.

Monday 21 November, at the conclusion of the conferencethe FAI will comment on the results and prospects, involving authoritative experts in a webinar meeting open to all, which will be broadcast live from Casa Bortoli, a FAI property in Venice, a city that symbolizes climate change.
