“Very unlikely, mood-making, little red riding hood”, researcher at the University of Groningen Chris Smit assesses the statement “The wolf eats children.” But it is not so strange that people are afraid of this. Why? People find it difficult to take risks. For example, we see more risk in an animal with ears and large teeth than in traffic hazards, which we take much more for granted.
