Het slachtoffer, de 21-year-old Axel Leroy uit Spa, died in the night of 30 op 31 October 2018. Hij stortte in elkaar na op korte tijd grote hoeveelheden alcohol te hebben dronken, in het bijzijn van zijn vijf dooppeters. Hij stikte in zijn braaksel.
