“I have come here to ratify my support for the countryside and tell them that I am very optimistic about the future of Argentina, despite the very difficult moment. That future is with the countryside, not against the countryside”, marked the former president of the Nation, Mauricio Macriafter participating in a lunch with the president of the Rural Society, Nicolás Pino, leaders of the entity and legislators.
“The government has lost track of where it stands and is totally immobilized. I know everyone’s anguish and concern, but as I told you: nothing good was going to happen with a government that had no plan and had no direction”, he recalled, and insisted that in our country “we have a lot of future to build”, Macri added that he had ruled out going on Saturday and brought his visit forward to avoid coming across a picket protest that was finally deactivated at the request of massism, now ruling in government.
“In June I said that very dark times were coming for Argentina, and we are living it,” he added. Elisa Carrio, adding that he sees the President of the Nation “shattered”. “I came to accompany the field and ask the government to stop its attempt to confront the Argentines. What they are doing with the field is a total injustice, because in this Argentina shattered and sunken all we have left is the field. That they let him work”, he stated, and concluded with a suggestion: “build a country, save your money”.
for the national deputy Martin Tetaz “the arrival of Serge Massa politically stabilizes the Cabinet, but we do not know if it is enough to stabilize the economy”, he pointed out, to clarify that “uncertainty will continue until measures are announced and we know what will happen to the economy”.
In this sense, the national deputy and former governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Maria Eugenia Vidalnoted that “a plan is not a measure. The countryside makes an enormous contribution and we must accompany it”, emphasizing regional economies.
Deputy Fernando Carbajal noted that “the President has resigned his power to be a mere subscriber to decisions made by others. Alberto’s biggest problem is that no one believes him. Not even his followers believe him. He showed that he is labile in opinion and that he does not hold his convictions.”
The former governor of Salta, Juan Manuel Urtubeywarned that “the government has a severe misdiagnosis thinking that the Argentine problem is one of wealth distribution, when the problem is that the conditions to be productive and competitive are not given. This notably affects everyone’s quality of life.”
And he added that “a government plan is necessary, because there is a Huge underestimation of the crisis that Argentina lives. A serious government program is needed, which until now has not been achieved. Unfortunately we do not have any element to be optimistic in the short term”.
