Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg (39) hurts himself during boxing training: “Anterior cruciate ligament torn” | Abroad

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg (39) has suffered an injury from his intensive boxing training. He announced this himself via Instagram. “I tore my anterior cruciate ligament,” said the American billionaire.

Zuckerberg posted a photo on Instagram last Friday showing him lying in a hospital bed with his left leg in a brace. “Tore my anterior cruciate ligament while boxing and just had surgery to replace it,” he captioned the photo.

The billionaire said he suffered the injury while training for a boxing match early next year. “The competition has now been postponed, but I am still looking forward to participating after my recovery,” Zuckerberg said.

Cage fight with Elon Musk

The Facebook boss regularly posts photos of his boxing training. Last summer, Zuckerberg and fellow billionaire Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and X, challenged each other to a cage fight. But Zuckerberg soon claimed that Musk was not taking the match seriously and therefore it might not happen.

“I think we can all agree that Elon is not serious and that it is time to move on,” Zuckerberg wrote on his Threads platform at the time. “I proposed a date and it was agreed to make it a serious competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery and now asks to do a practice run in my backyard instead.”

Musk responded to Zuckerberg’s rant by calling him “a coward.”
