On the occasion of the day dedicated to women, Audi released an intimate interview with Fabrizia Pons, Italian female champion of international rallies for three consecutive years (from 1976 to 1979), as well as a historic navigator and Audi driver. Born in Turin in 1955, she received her first motorbike at the age of 15. From that moment on she never stopped loving engines. in 1976 she made her debut as a driver at the wheel of an Autobianchi A112 Abarth, winning her class in the ‘971 Rally Team. Her big step came in 1979 when she became a navigator alongside Gigi Lucky Battistolli, with whom she still races today. in 1981 as a navigator she won the Sanremo Rally with the Frenchwoman Michèle Mouton and then won the following year in the Portuguese, Greek and Brazilian rallies, winning the Halda prize, the highest rallying honor for navigators. Furthermore, in 1997, on the occasion of the Monte Carlo Rally, together with Piero Liatti, we find her on the top step of the podium, in one of the most prestigious races in the world.
