F1 journalist threw a tasteless comment at Valtteri Bottas – “He answered, no, no, no”

Ted Kravitz apologizes for what he said.

F1 reporter Ted Kravitz has apologized for his comment from Alfa Romeo driver Valtteri Bottas. Kravitz had commented on the Finn’s weight during the Bahrain competition weekend.

Kravitz had noticed in Bahrain that Bottas’ jaw looked narrower than before, so he decided to joke about it, according to his own words.

He told the Sky Sport program that he was stupid and insensitive.

– I was quite surprised and I said: wow, you look so thin, as my mother always used to say, you should eat more, Kravitz said News.com.au website by.

– He answered, no, no, no, I’m thin and healthy. “I thought it was a weird thing to say when he says he’s healthy,” Kravitz revealed.

Afterwards, Kravitz was told about Bottas’ interview in the Yökylä Maria Veitola program, in which the Finnish driver said he was close to an eating disorder.

The Finn told the program that he trained himself to the point of pain both mentally and physically in 2014.

He had to lose weight, after which things got out of hand.

– I became addicted to that weight, Bottas said.

Veitola asked if Bottas had an eating disorder. Bottas said that no such thing was found, but he believed it was.

He told an example in the program.

– I remember that I went for a run, which was in my training program. I came home, steamed some broccoli to fill my stomach a little – and set off again for a similar run without any meters. It was a bit like a secret from the coach. It’s not quite healthy now, Bottas said.

Bottas has reportedly accepted Kravitz’s apology.

– I think it was very impressive that he had the courage to talk about his past.

Bottas finished eighth in the Bahrain race and thus had a great start to the new season.
