As usual by now consolidated, the Frecce Tricolori will open the Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix on Sunday 11 September. The passage of the national aerobatic team will take place with nine Aermacchi MB-339 Pan aircraft, which will fly over the starting grid of the Monza racetrack spreading the longest tricolor in the world, while the last notes of the national anthem sung for the occasion are sung. by Andrea Bocelli. Accompanying the Frecce Tricolori in the flyover of the Grand Prix grid will be one of the brand new Airbus A350s from Ita Airways, which will be named after Enzo Ferrari. And already on the afternoon of Thursday 8 September, in the skies of the north-east area of ​​Milan, there was a taste of the show when an Ita A350 in white “Born to be sustainable” livery flew over the area several times together with two MB -339 of the Air Force. This year the Brianza circuit celebrates the 100th anniversary of its construction, which took place in 1922, while next year the Air Force will celebrate the centenary of its foundation.

The 313 ° Acrobatic Training Group, the official name of the Frecce Tricolori, was born in 1961 as a permanent group for the training of pilots in aerial acrobatics. It has its headquarters in Rivolto, in the province of Udine. With ten aircraft, they are the largest aerobatic team in the world and currently use the Italian-made Aermacchi MB-339 Pan.
