The one who drove out in the opening moments of the Las Vegas GP Lando Norris was taken to the hospital for further examinations.

The McLaren star slammed into the wall on the third lap of the race. Norris lost control of his car at high speed. The car hit the wall first, side first. From there, the car slid towards the wall at high speed, finally stopping there.

Norris, heavily shaken after the concussion, immediately reported on the team radio that he was fine, but he collected himself for a long time in the cab of the car before getting out of it.

The impact was so severe that Norris was taken first to the track’s medical center and then to University Hospital in Vegas. According to McLaren, this is a precautionary measure.

Norris has had a great season. Having collected 195 points, the British driver is sixth in the World Championship points. He has been awarded seven times.

The F1 season ends next weekend in Abu Dhabi.
