The red is confirmed with the Monegasque ahead of Red Bull and teammate: the two Ferrari drivers slightly damage the suspension by touching the walls. Mercedes awakening signs: Hamilton and Russell in 5th and 6th place

The Arabian GP seems to propose a new replica of the duel between Ferrari and Red Bull which took place in Bahrain. The first day of free practice in Jeddah saw Charles Leclerc prevail, who with a time of 1’30 “074 preceded the Red Bull of Max Verstappen (1’30” 214). Third time for the second red, that of Carlos Sainz (1’30 “320), fourth for the other Red Bull, that of Sergio Perez (1’30” 360).

Confirmation of the values highlighted in Bahrain even if it was not a smooth session for the Cavallino. 20 minutes from the end of the second session, Leclerc lightly touched the external barriers of an S with his left front and damaged a suspension arm, slowly returning to the pits. And the same for Carlos Sainz, damage that forced the two drivers to stop work prematurely. But for the reds it wasn’t a bad start at all.

The fifth and sixth times of the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, on the other hand, seem to be a first sign of the awakening of the constructors’ world champions. Like Lando Norris ‘7th with McLaren, ahead of Esteban Ocon’s Alpine and Valtteri Bottas’ ninth with Alfa Romeo. Good 13th time for Mick Schumacher with the Haas, who however recorded engine problems for Kevin Magnussen. Tomorrow FP3 and qualifying to define the starting grid.
