It was almost too good to be true: filling the tank for 19.5 cents per liter of petrol. It was really possible on Friday at a gas station on Eenerstraat in Norg. It wasn’t just a stunt, it turned out to be a malfunction.
A few dozen motorists did not miss the opportunity. Traffic around the AVIA gas station came to a standstill. Not only the petrol turned out to be dirt cheap, also for a liter of diesel only 15.5 cents per liter had to be tapped.
According to an employee of the company, the malfunction was quickly resolved and prices were back to their previous level in no time. AVIA could not say how many people benefited from this and how many ‘cheap’ liters went through.
